Event Type: Retreat/Course

Theme/Focus: Prophetic Art

Check In: 4 p.m. Saturday

Check Out: 10 a.m. Friday

This Prophetic Art Course and Retreat led by Bhari Long, author of ‘Artists and Artisans Awake!: Creativity and the Global Harvest’ is a hands-on opportunity to get in touch with the creative gift you were born with and be inspired to paint! Encounter God through the prophetic art exhibition of Bhari and her husband James, pioneers of prophetic art across the UK and overseas. It features a special guest appearance from James Long, who will be giving a live demonstration of prophetic art. James has been a freelance artist for over 20 years and is currently serving the Lord at Bath Abbey. Suitable for all skill levels and anyone creatively inclined, with exciting new options for those who’ve been before.

God loves to speak truth into our lives through images. Jesus Christ Himself used pictorial imagery as He taught. Draw close to Him and learn to trust Him to give you visual messages, both for yourself and others. Experience God speaking to you personally to bless and encourage you, and those he gives you a ‘word picture’ for. Learn to trust that He is speaking to you… for He has promised that if we ask for the Holy Spirit, He will give Him to us and lead us into all truth (Luke 11:13, John 16:13).

Be inspired by nature and the coast in this area of outstanding natural beauty. Be filled afresh and led by the Holy Spirit, as you experiment, experience and explore prophetic art. Learn how to pray and worship God creatively; how to interpret and use prophetic art both inside and outside the Church. Be inspired by the testimonies of how the Lord is using prophetic art to transform people’s lives. If you are here for a Retreat, feel free to dip in and out of the programme.

GOD'S House: The Story of Nicholaston House, by Derrick Hancock. The incredible story of a retreat house in one of Wales’ most spectacular beauty spots has been published.

‘God’s House’ is a detailed account of how Nicholaston House came into existence by the man who had the vision and was given instruction direct from God.

In 1990 God unmistakably led Sue and Derrick Hancock to Swansea to see a vision fulfilled which God had given them some years previously. The booklet (A5, 53 pages, colour) gives a brief factual account of what God did and is doing. It has been written for two reasons - to give glory to God and to show what very ordinary people can do when they step out in faith with God. 'All that we have accomplished, You have done for us' - Isaiah 26 v 12.
