Welcome 2020 in comfort and style during this friends and fellowship retreat break at Nicholaston House Christian Retreat. There will be good food, fun and fellowship with others during this 5-night full-board retreat. Each day there will be a devotional time allowing space for worship as we consider and pray God’s leading and guiding in the year ahead – optional prayer ministry slots will be made available during the retreat for those who wish to have some time of prayer with our prayer ministers.

Arriving on 30 December for evening meal, there is plenty of time to settle in before we celebrate New Year with a buffet tea and a time of fun, fellowship and prayer together as we see in the New Year. After a hearty breakfast, New Year’s Day morning will include an organised local walk followed by a light lunch with friends of Nicholaston House. As always, for those seeking time to rest, the House has many places to relax as well as space to enjoy the peace and views of Oxwich Bay from the conservatory.

During the break there will be organised games and other social activities, offering a blend of time to enjoy one another’s company and also to soak up the stillness and peace of the House.

The week will conclude with an optional led Quiet Day on Friday.

Departure is after breakfast on Saturday.

GOD'S House: The Story of Nicholaston House, by Derrick Hancock. The incredible story of a retreat house in one of Wales’ most spectacular beauty spots has been published.

‘God’s House’ is a detailed account of how Nicholaston House came into existence by the man who had the vision and was given instruction direct from God.

In 1990 God unmistakably led Sue and Derrick Hancock to Swansea to see a vision fulfilled which God had given them some years previously. The booklet (A5, 53 pages, colour) gives a brief factual account of what God did and is doing. It has been written for two reasons - to give glory to God and to show what very ordinary people can do when they step out in faith with God. 'All that we have accomplished, You have done for us' - Isaiah 26 v 12.
